The tour begins in
Dharamsala where you will attend a Kalachakra retreat led by Khentrul
Rinpoche at the Tsechok Ling Monastery, one of the branch Monasteries
of His Holiness the Dalai Lama. You will attend a private meeting with
the 17th Gyalwa Kamapa, Spiritual Head of the Kagyu tradition and the
9th Khalkha Jetsun Dhampa, the Spiritual Head of the Jonang tradition
and Spiritual Leader of Mongolian Buddhism. There is a possibility for
receiving teachings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
You will also have
the opportunity to go on a pilgrimage to Tso Pema, where Padmasambhava
transformed fire into a lake, participate in meditation and teachings
with Khentrul Rinpoche and other Lamas and Khenpos and visit many other
sacred places.
Khentrul Rinpoche
will also arrange several other Rinpoche’s to participate in the
retreat, such as Khenpo Karma Chokdup who is one of the assistant
teachers to the 17th Karmapa, Khenpo Tenkyong who is one of the
officials from the Tibetan Library, etc.
The tour begins in
Delhi on Saturday 5 May at 6.00pm when we meet for dinner at the New
Peace Hotel. If you have any queries when you arrive at the airport you
can call Rinpoches Tour Assistant, Tsendhul on 9418134847, who is
fluent in Hindi, English and Tibetan.
Cost
This tour costs
US$900. This includes all accommodation, main meals and transport,
translation, teachings, donations and entrance fees. The cost does not include airfare, it is up to you to arrange your own flight.

Visit several Indian Palaces.
That night you will travel to Dharamsala on a Tourist Coach and arrive
in Dharamsala in the morning. |
| 7 May |
You will
spend the day resting at Choenor House. You will visit His Holiness the
Dalai Lamas temple and a Tibetan Children village where 3,000 children
who have escaped from Tibet live. |
| 8 May |
Visit seven sacred Buddhist places called Tilopa. |
| 9 May |
You will
attend a private meeting with 9th Khalkha Jetsun Dhampa, the Spiritual
Head of the Jonang tradition and Spiritual Leader of Mongolian
Buddhism. You will also visit a local waterfall and walk through some
mountains. |
| 10 May |
You will attend a private
meeting with the 17th Gyalwa Kamapa, Spiritual Head of the Kagyu
tradition and one of his tutors Khenpo Karma Chokdup a close friend of
Rinpoche’s. You will visit Norlung Tibetan University of art and
handicrafts. See how Tibetan Thangkas are painted, meet with the
artists and visit the libraries and other faculties of the University.
You will also visit a Tibetan T.T. School where Tibetan newcomers live
and study. You may give them some basic Western education if you wish. |

Travel to
Tso Pema, where Padmasambhava transformed fire into a lake, participate
in meditation and teachings with Khentrul Rinpoche and Khenpo Karma
Chokdup and Khenpo Tenkyong. That night we will camp in the surrounding
caves and do a tsok offering. |
| 12 May |
Return to Dharamsala. Rest and meet with some Tibetan people. |
| 13 May |
For the
next five days you will undertake a Kalachakra retreat at the Tsechok
Monastery, one of His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s branch
Monasteries from 13th to 17th. This Monastery is in a beautiful and
peaceful location surrounded by Mountains in the middle of the Forest.
Khentrul Rinpoche will teach the Conditions for attaining Kalachakra
Practice and the Actual Kalachakra Teachings, the relevance of
Kalachakra to your body and the universe and how this practice is
beneficial to World Peace, and much more. |

Rest, relaxation and shopping if you wish in Dharamsala. At night you will travel back to Delhi in a tourist coach. |
| 19 May |
Rest and
shopping in some Indian and Tibetan cities. The tour finishes here. You
can stay longer if you wish and if necessary we may help you or can
point you in the right direction. |
