Sponsorship to bring monks to Australia
During a recent
visit to Tibet , Khentrul
Rinpoche carefully chose 6 monks to come to Australia to assist him with the teaching program and
propagation of the Jonang tradition of Buddhism in Australia. They will only be able
to come to Australia,
however, when we have found people who are willing to sponsor them.
All these monks
are well skilled in every facet of Tibetan Buddhism and together form an
exceptional array of skill and knowledge, particularly of the very rare Jonang
Kalachakra Buddhist tradition. Some of their skills include monastic dancing, construction
of sand mandalas, astrology and divination, Buddhist meditation, musical
instruments, art, logic yoga, healing and many other subjects. Rinpoche needs
the help of these monks to develop the Tibetan Buddhist Rime Institute so that
he can offer these rare and valuable skills to the community. Their combined
skills will be enough to teach any type of Tibetan knowledge required and for
this reason it is important to bring them to Australia.
We wish to find
a benefactor for each monk who is willing to donate $2000 per monk to cover air
fares and visa requirements; however, contributions of any amount would be
greatly appreciated. We would also like help with ongoing sponsorship of the
monks to cover living expenses and are looking for support of about $40 per
month for one year. The Tibetan Buddhist Rime Institute will cover the
remaining expenses. In all Dharma activities the benefactors name will be
recited and the merits will be dedicated to bless them and their families.
