Rimé Institute's Open
Day, 27th March 2011
Open Day is an opportunity to explore what Rimé has to offer. Come along and enjoy a class, meet the community, buy a prayer flag and share delicious dumplings! All classes are free of charge and lunch is offered on gold coin donation. Open Days run sporadically throughout the year, keep an eye on this page for the next date.
11.00 - Market stalls open
11.00 - 11.30am Meditation Basics
Led by
members of
the Tibetan Buddhist Rimé Institute, meditation class is an opportunity
to
hear from personal experience the benefits of meditation and learn the basic practice. There is no need to wear
any special clothing nor bring any equipment.
11.30 - 12.00pm Kids Dharma Class
Aimed at teaching children from approx. 5 to 12 years of age the benefits of
meditation through stories and play. Led by a
senior student of Khentrul Rinpoche, please email the office if you have
any questions about the class.

Noon - 12.45 Lunch break
Join the Rimé community for a fundraiser lunch. Share Tibetan momos (dumplings), a BBQ and light refreshments. Pay by gold coin donation.
12.45 - 1.30pm - Buddhism Basics Rinpoche offers
an insightful explanation of the Buddha's teachings in a way that can be applied to our daily
lives. Includes the opportunity to ask questions.
1.30 - 2.00pm - Meditation Basics

2.00 - 2.15pm - Puja (Buddhist chanting prayers)
Pujas are where
we practice the mind training of Buddhist psychology.
The puja is chanted in English and everyone is most welcome to attend.
