Tibet 2006
Walking the Path of Wisdom with Khentrul Rinpoche
In July 2006, Khentrul Rinpoche, Spiritual Director of the Tibetan Buddhist Rime Institute in Melbourne, took a group of people from several different countries to experience a Tibetan summer and gain insight into the ancient and unique customs and lifestyles of the Tibetan people from Kham and Amdo.
Many things were learnt that changed our view of life and improved our appreciation for the way we live.
Rinpoche led to tour to visit remote villages, temples and monasteries in Tibet, most of them having never had
western visitors. Both the travelers and local people experienced a fresh and vibrant exchange of cultures. We also visited several monasteries from the Jonang tradition,
a branch of Buddhism which is almost unknown in the West yet is flourishing in Tibet today.
