Khentrul Rinpoche is one of the rare few monks who is qualified to conduct the Phowa Ceremony. Khentrul Rinpoche's ability and his 20 years of experience in this area is rare in Tibet and most uncommon in a Western country like Australia. Phowa is an ancient Tibetan ritual which helps the consciousness of the deceased person leave their body and connect with a higher rebirth, and depending upon the merit generated by the family, may transfer the consciousness of the deceased person directly to Pure Land of Amitabha.

The transference is accomplished by using his primordial mind and the special sound energy of HIGDA, a very powerful mantra.
